Invisalign® : The alternative to braces

Invisalign® straightens your teeth with a series of transparent aligners without anyone noticing and without disrupting your daily activities. It is a customised dental aesthetics technique for which you are guaranteed maximum comfort.

Orthodontic indications

A bright smile is a powerful asset. It can transform your outlook, help you overcome your limitations and boost your self-confidence, both professionally and socially.

Today, you can achieve that smile without the use of traditional metal braces with wires and rings.

Invisalign® treats all adult orthodontic problems.

  • Overlap: There is not enough room in the mouth for the teeth to position themselves correctly.
  • Spacing: There is too much space between the teeth and they gradually move away from each other.
  • Reverse bite: The teeth in the upper and lower jaws are not properly aligned.
  • Supraclusion: The teeth of the upper jaw overlap the teeth of the lower jaw.
  • Underbite: Teeth of the lower jaw overlap with the teeth of the upper jaw.

If you have a bridge, a crown or if you wear braces, ask your dentist for advice on whether Invisalign® treatment is right for your orthodontic problem.

The Invisalign® treatment plan

The consultation

The dentist takes stock of your dental problems.

He then defines a treatment plan taking into account both functional goals due to poorly positioned teeth and aesthetic goals.

The ClinCheck® software

The dentist scans the impressions of your teeth and makes a 3D model of your smile.

He controls not only the movement, but also the speed. At each step, only certain teeth can move, as specified by the treatment plan for that particular step.

This allows forces to be exerted effectively to move the teeth to the desired prescribed position.

This allows you to visualize how your smile changes during treatment, which is very motivating.

Invisalign® aligners

They are made of a highly resistant transparent thermoplastic material. They are made to measure and fit perfectly to your teeth.

A treatment usually consists of 18 to 36 aligners and lasts 6 to 24 months. You must wear them for two weeks before moving on to the next series. You must wear the aligners at all times except for eating and drinking. You can brush and floss your teeth easily, which helps maintain good dental hygiene.

Used for 20 minutes a day Acceledent® accelerates tooth movement by 50%.

This hands-free and easy to use dental medical device fits in your mouth and sends small vibrations to the Invisalign® aligners.

Preserve your smile with the restraint

Without restraint even perfectly aligned teeth can gradually return to their original position. This is a problem common to all orthodontic treatments but can be easily controlled.

The dentist places an invisible retention wire on the inside of the teeth. Depending on the case, he may also recommend that you wear a Vivera Retainers retainer at night.

The consequences of installing Invisalign® aligners

You may experience temporary and minimal discomfort for a few days when using a new set of aligners. This discomfort usually disappears in one or two days.

The results

You will gradually notice the small movements of your teeth until they reach the desired end position.
